Seawater strainers & filters
Seawater is an essential, renewable and ever-present mechanical element for a ship. Before seawater can be used in the engineering system of a ship, it needs to be filtered from seaweed, fish and pollution. Most filters are made of metal and need to be replaced frequently.
Our solution: filters made of HDPE and Glass Fiber Reinforced plastic (GRE or GRVE). Both materials are extremely suitable for corrosion by seawater and external influences.
STC Perfoplast™ filter
STC Perfoplast™ filters are a durable, non-corrosive, high-performance alternative for common metal filters. The strong & light HDPE material and it’s excellent corrosion-resistance results in an (almost) unlimited lifespan.
STC Fiberstrain™ Inlet Strainers
Our filters can be used in combination with the STC Fiberstrain™ strainers, that are L3-certified for usage in engine rooms of seaworthy vessels. Compared to the common metal versions, these Inlet Strainers results in enormous weight savings and low cost of ownership.
