Lightweight filters for High-Speed Crafts
Over the past 2 years, Damen Shipyards has developed a series of High-Speed Crafts: fast lightweight vessels, such as the coastguard. Because weight plays a very important role, STC Trade was contacted due to previous experiences with STC TRADE’s plastic seawater filters. The ships vary in length and function, therefore 4 types of seawater filters have been developed. A 5th type has recently been added.
In the past week, STC Trade delivered 12 pieces of HDPE filters, 6 pieces DN80 and 6 pieces DN125. The filters are supplied in collaboration with Eriks. More than 50 filters are now used in Damen ships.
